Carthenni is a wonderful collaboration between Mari and Bex Elliott, merging Bex’s knowledge of the old traditional design of Welsh blanket weaves with Mari’s award winning contemporary design vision.

The iconic, homely and instantly recognisable patterns are transformed into modern cutting edge designs, using embossed solid silver with highlights in 23ct gold to recreate the bold Welsh weave designs. These pieces, while incredibly new and contemporary, echo fragments of traditional Welsh design, summoning constancy, hiraeth and the memories of home.
