Memo comes from the marks we make on paper, from a heartfelt handwritten love letter, to private musings in a journal, to a sketch drawn quickly to catch a passing thought. The paper and its ink are folded over, the words kept safely hidden with a humble, simple twist of wire: the paperclip.
