Decorative Concepts is one of my most recognisable collections, and it holds a special place for me. I was originally commissioned to create a collection for the National Library of Wales, and I began with the idea of books and paper. Because I sketch and draw, the connection came naturally, and I found myself illustrating my own creative process: my handwritten design notes and drawings, etched into silver and gold.

There's so much potential in an idea or a thought, in a scribble or a note on paper, and in what it might one day lead to. That's what I've captured here: the first ideas I'd dismissed and crumpled up, brought back to life and preserved in precious metal. The result is dramatic and strikingly beautiful, wearable pieces of art that tell a tale of what it is to be creative, and how something can be reimagined.
