I am so proud of this collection of silk scarves as it is the work of two best friends who are both designers and artists. Claire Staveley and I have been friends since the beginning of secondary school and we also studied at art college together, and after all these years it was wonderful to collaborate our ideas to make these silk scarves.

The designs came from both of us. My abstract sketches of jewellery pieces, her monochromatic style, and both our handwriting worked into the patterns. You can see where one of us stops and the other starts, and also where you cannot.

They are 100% silk, and the edges are hand sewn. That is the detail worth knowing. A hand-rolled edge takes an artisan the best part of an hour or more per scarf, and it is a finish this silk deserves. Pure silk catches the light differently, it drapes rather than hangs, and it softens when worn. Silk can be warm in the winter and cooling in the summer, a beautiful luxurious fabric.

Three sizes: small, narrow and large. A limited edition, and when they are gone they are gone.
