A ring worn by a man tends to be worn constantly, which changes what it has to be. It needs enough weight to feel like something, and a surface that lives with being worn.
Carved rings are faceted, cut back so the light breaks across them as the hand moves. Cofio carries a line from a Welsh poem around the band.
Several are made in black silver. Over time the black oxidisation wears away from the raised surfaces and stays in the grooves and texture, which is part of how the piece is meant to age. If you ever want it back to how it started, it can be re-oxidised easily.
On sizing: a wide band sits differently to a narrow one and usually needs a size larger. If you are unsure, come into the gallery and we will measure properly, or order the ring sizer gauge and take your time at home.
