MOD is the first in a series of designs that are inspired by Anna’s exploration of the maternal line.

As a pioneer of the 60’s British Mod culture, her mother Rosemary says “To be a Mod was to be part of a revolution, a shock to the establishment, to be edgy and with-it.”

 

Materials:

Mazzucchelli M49 Bio-Acetate. Cellulose acetate and a plasticizer of vegetable origin.

Lenses:

Divel Green Line Sun Lens (60% recycled plastic, 40% organic material) with anti-reflective inner film. UV 400 protection Cat 3.

Design details

5-barrel hinge. Silver metal hardware. Mismatched temples.

Base 4 curve, frame width 149mm, frame height 61mm, temple 138mm, DBL 14 , thickness 8mm

Rosemary was one of the few women to own a Lambretta scooter and part of a youth culture that brought attitude to 60’s fashion, music and freedom of expression.
