Gallery Artist Yuki Mitsuyasu

Gallery Artist Yuki Mitsuyasu

The first of the artists Mari would like to shine a light on is Yuki Mitsuyasu.

Raised in Singapore, and later educated at the renowned Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, Yuki Mitsuyasu designs and creates jewellery to tell a story. She has carefully crafted into each piece a narrative, waiting to be recounted, explored and shared. Her choice of materials, the manner in which they are shaped, and their function all weave together.

Yuki believes in the importance of her jewellery looking beautiful from every angle, with each angle and point of view adding to, rather than distracting from, the narrative. The themes she is inspired by are so often universal and timeless, lending her pieces to iconic status.

Mari is proud to have Yuki’s work in the jewellery gallery and for sale via the Mari Thomas online store. Online you will find a selection of items from her “ Shine “ collection, which is characterised by two hearts, each symbolising a person, each one bold and unique.
Together, the hearts realise something brighter than if they were apart. On the “Shine” necklace, the two hearts come together magnetically, making a complete clasp in the beautiful shape of a three dimensional star, making something that is soften from purely functional to a thing of true beauty.
